A heads up to those travelling in dairy regions - the roads are about to get busier

A heads up to those travelling in dairy regions - the roads are about to get busier

It's Moving Day, one of the bigger days in the farming calendar, which will see people move their lives and livestock between farms.

Dairy NZ's Tony Finch says he is encouraging people in rural areas to be aware, and be patient.

He says it can be stressful for farmers and livestock, and wants to make sure the move is as seamless as possible.

But Finch adds it's also an exciting time, bringing a fresh start for many as the new dairy season gets underway.
