    New Zealand cyclists have caught the eye in the opening stages of prestigious European events


    Corbin Strong has made a - ahem - strong start to the Tour de France, finishing the opening stage in 15th place out of 175 riders - 33 seconds behind the stage winner.

    Niamh Fisher-Black is a notable 22nd after the second stage of the Giro d'Italia Donne ...the first official stage after the opening time trial was canned because of dodgy weather.
