Police say they weren't in pursuit of a car involved in a fatal crash in central Hamilton this morning

About 3.45, Police were called to the Ulster Street collision between a truck, and a car which then caught fire.
Two people died at the scene.
Three officers are being treated for smoke inhalation they dragged two people out of the wreckage.
Those two remain in a critical condition in hospital.
Police were in the vicinity of the crash at the time and were able to respond quickly.
Inspector Matt Cranshaw has confirmed they were not pursuing the car leading up to the crash.
