Rookie of the Year celebrations will be somewhat delayed for Kiwi IndyCar driver Marcus Armstrong

The former Ferrari Academy pilot wrapped up the award with an eighth-place at the season finale in California - finishing on top despite not competing in the five oval track races on the 2023 schedule.

But Armstrong will do the full schedule next year - and his preparation for that starts with his first foray onto ovals with testing in Texas this week.
