Ryan Fox has survived an incident of saucy proportions to keep his title defence in tact at golf's Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland

Some late-round sustenance in the form of an American hot dog has proved the culprit on the par four fifth hole at the Kingsbarns course.



Fox came out of the mustardy mess unscathed - bagging the third of his four birdies on route to a three-under par second round.

It moved him to nine-under overall - trailing leading Englishman and Ryder Cup rep Matthew Fitzpatrick by four shots
