Biomedical research has been given a massive funding boost

The Hugh Green Foundation has pledged 15 million dollars into the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research's technology hub.

It will accelerate research into cancer, infectious diseases and allergic and inflammatory conditions.

Director Professor Graham Le Gros says the funding will help scientists across the country.

He says it gives the institute the ability to engage with scientists who need access to cutting-edge technology.
