A warning of the risks of IT flaws, after a near miss involving a child at a Hawke's Bay Hospital

Reports released to our newsroom show a 12-year-old girl could've died, after medical scans didn't show up on the hospital's online system.
Resident Doctors' Association National Secretary Dr Deborah Powell says the risks of technical issues could have fatal consequences.
She says they totally rely on lab results and x-rays which come through the IT system - and there could have been a very bad outcome for this child.
