The men's Twenty20 cricket World Cup in June is looming large in the minds of the Black Caps... as they prepare to take on Pakistan again tomorrow in the shortest format

New Zealand made a strong start to their five-match T20 series, and were particularly impressive with the bat in Auckland - posting 226 for 8 in their 46-run win.

Opener Finn Allen got the side going at Eden Park with 34 off 15... and says getting a run for the Auckland Aces in the local Super Smash has helped his form and he's happy to be in the squad for now, after missing out on last year's ODI World Cup.

But Allen admits he is hoping to impress the selectors in this home series.



Tomorrow's second T20 is at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
