    A person has died while riding an electric scooter in the central Auckland suburb of Eden Terrace


    Emergency services were called to the incident on Ian McKinnon Drive just before 11.30 last night.

    Police set up a cordon at the intersection of Ian McKinnon Drive and Devon Street while the Serious Crash Unit and police photographers carried out a scene examination.

    It wasn't clear whether the e-scooter was travelling on the footpath or the road.
