Sam Manson's heeding the lessons of a breakthrough Coast to Coast triumph as he eyes joining some of New Zealand's multisport greats in going back-to-back

The 2023 champion seized control of last year's men's race on the final bike leg - pedalling past eventual runner up Ryan Kiesanowski who also returns this weekend.

Manson says while he has a strategy he's keeping to himself - the winning and losing of the race is largely instinctive.



Sam Clark was the last men's champion to repeat - he won three in a row between 2016 and 2018.
