Eden Park plans to take new survey results to Auckland Council - in a bid to host more concerts

It's done a survey of more than 15-hundred residents, showing more than 90-percent of them support hosting six artists, playing up to 12 shows in a calendar year.

The stadium's currently consented to host six shows a year.

CEO Nick Sautner says they want to streamline the process with the council, to secure more international artists as soon as possible.

He says they met with their planner and it's their intention to work with both central government and the council to enable them to deliver 12 concerts in future.

Saunter's set to meet with the Eden Park Residents Association to discuss the idea.
