Super Rugby's been forced to temporarily tweak its protocols around smart mouthguards following last weekend's confusion

A suspected Bluetooth issue in the Chiefs-Crusaders game in Hamilton forced players off the field several minutes after impacts occurred.
World Rugby is working to resolve the issues - with more testing to come.
From this weekend - starting tonight with the Blues against the Highlanders - until the issues are resolved, players will continue to wear the mouthguards but will now undergo a short check on the field before a doctor decides to pursue an HIA or not.
