The Government's championing aquaculture as it pushes through legislation to fast track consenting

The new regime, which replaces the RMA, gives ministers the final say to sign off on initiatives it considers to be of regional or national significance.
That includes mining and roads.
Regional Development Minister Shane Jones says million was also recently squandered by King Salmon as it tried to get a consent over many years.
He says 12 hectares of salmon ocean ranching can generate 140 million dollars of annual income.
