    Two people have been charged with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Palmerston North


    Damon O'Rourke was fatally shot at a Coromandel Court property two months ago, dying of his injuries in hospital.

    A 19-year-old man appeared in the Whangarei District Court yesterday, charged with murder.

    A 21-year-old man is appearing in the Palmerston North District Court today, charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

    Police say O'Rourke's family will be relieved those allegedly responsible are being held to account.
