    A person's in a serious condition following an assault in Christchurch last night


    Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Hills Road, Edgeware around 10pm - where one person sustained a neck injury.

    Hato Hone St John says the person was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

    Police say a scene examination will be conducted at the property this morning and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
