Christchurch Police have arrested three people, summonsed 11 others, and impounded 13 vehicles after the Chrome car show earlier this month

Christchurch Police have arrested three people, summonsed 11 others, and impounded 13 vehicles after the Chrome car show earlier this month

The event attracted 500 vehicles from around the region.

The main Saturday evening cruise event went without issue -- but police say sustained loss of traction and speed were common themes across the weekend.

Officers focussed on deterring illegal street racing and burnouts -- issuing more than 30 speeding infringements, including one person caught for 104 kilometres in a 50 kilometre zone.
