    A fire inspector will be on site today at a residential building in Auckland's Parnell


    The blaze started at the communal lodging on St Georges Bay Road around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

    At its height there were 16 fire trucks in attendance, with crews staying overnight on standby.

    Police also arrested one person after a "disorder" incident at the same address yesterday.

    The public are being asked to stay away from the area.
