Israel shoots down most of Iran's drones but some strike IDF targets — as it happened

Iran's mission to the United Nations warns the United States not to get involved and says its drone strike on Israel has concluded. Look back on the day's events.

Iran launched a swarm of explosive drones and fired missiles at Israel late on Saturday in its first-ever direct attack on Israeli territory, risking a major escalation in the region.

Tehran said it concluded its response to an attack on its consulate in Syria two weeks ago and it warned the United States, which has pledged "ironclad" backing for Israel, not to intervene.
