    US cautions Israel against further escalation, emergency UN Security Council meeting held — as it happened

    Details of a phone call between United States President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the Iranian attack have emerged.


    Israel is deliberating its response to Saturday's Iranian drone and missile attack, but the United States has been very clear that it will not assist in any counterattack.
