Two men have been arrested after one man allegedly pointed a gun at Police in Palmerston North

Two men have been arrested after one man allegedly pointed a gun at Police in Palmerston North

About 2am last Friday, police were called to reports of a man behaving aggressively towards a woman at an Otaki Place property.

They say a man was obstructive to officers, and he was arrested.

A second man allegedly pointed what police say appeared to be a pistol at the officers, who retreated and called for support.

The Armed Offenders Squad and Police Negotiation Team communicated with him for several hours and he was arrested around 7am.
