The Mental Health Foundation is fighting to keep the relationships and sexuality guidelines in schools

The Mental Health Foundation is fighting to keep the relationships and sexuality guidelines in schools

It's heading an open letter, co signed by 26 mental health and rainbow organisations, asking the Government to reconsider.

Chief executive Shaun Robinson says the guidelines help teach students acceptance of themselves and others.

He says the guidelines can help reduce violence in school, potentially unsafe relationships and adverse mental health outcomes.

He says removing the guidelines sends a negative message about celebrating diversity and reducing bullying.
