Auckland business owners plagued by robberies will have to wait for Police to firm up a case against a group of suspects

Auckland business owners plagued by robberies will have to wait for Police to firm up a case against a group of suspects

Up to a million dollars worth of stolen goods was reportedly taken from jewellery stores across the city last month; the alleged offenders are believed to be children.

Police say a dedicated taskforce is now looking at CCTV footage, forensics and the stolen cars used to build a good case to prove the charges in court.

Retail NZ CEO Carolyn young says sometimes, patience is key.

She says if they are clear who's believed to be involved, they need to build the best case, to get the best possible outcome.

Michael Hill's confirmed it's increased security guard coverage in its stores.
