One in every eight Auckland homes for sale is at risk of selling for a loss

One in every eight Auckland homes for sale is at risk of selling for a loss

OneRoof data shows 13 percent of homes listed in recent months were purchased during the market's boom period from September 2020 to January 2022.

Prices reached a record high of 1.58 million dollars but have since fallen to about 1.3 million.

OneRoof editor Owen Vaughan says not every home bought during the boom is selling for a loss.

He says some sellers are still seeing on-paper profits.
