Sweeping changes appear to be on the way to shake-up farming, housing, and water regulations

Sweeping changes appear to be on the way to shake-up farming, housing, and water regulations

The RMA Reform Minister says the overhaul of the Resource Management Act boils down to removing difficulties.

Consultation's now open on changes being touted as the biggest in the legislation's history.

Federated Farmers RMA spokesman Mark Hooper says this is just another step in a bigger process.

He says the government's made changes to the Natural and Built Environment Act, introduced fast track legislation and amended the RMA bills.
