    Christchurch Police have impounded 26 cars in a crackdown on dangerous driving across the city


    The Anti-Social Road User team has recently concluded an operation which saw 20 vehicles ordered off the road for serious defects.

    Another six cars were impounded last weekend for speeding, or dangerous driving.

    Senior Sergeant Michael Jones says anti-social behaviour such as speeding and burnouts puts everyone at risk, and Police are holding offenders to account.
