    The Police Minister's welcoming new senior Police appointments


    After months as Acting Deputy Commissioner, Jill Rogers is permanently taking up the reins.

    Cassandra Andersen is the new Chief of Staff, coming from senior roles in Police and Oranga Tamariki.

    Mark Mitchell says the focus has been on a robust hiring process - after recent issues played out publicly.

    He says the previous executive put Police through a tough time.
