    The average house price in Wellington's Upper Hutt has seen a sharp decline

    New rating valuations find the value of residential housing in Upper Hutt city has decreased 9.3 percent to 776-thousand dollars since 2022.

    The average land value has decreased 18.2 percent to 438-thousand.

    QV Senior Consultant Jack Whiteman says it's likely just a snapshot in time,as the market was coming off a period of post-pandemic growth during the last valuation.
