New Zealand's current account deficit has narrowed to its smallest point in four years

It was just 16-billion dollars, in the year to June.
The deficit's been shrinking because Kiwi investors have been earning more than expected from overseas investments.
And Stats NZ has also revised down deficits recorded in previous quarters.
It previously overestimated the direct imports of low value goods, failing to account for just how cheap stuff is on websites like Shein and Temu.
