    The rising cost of food is also affecting chocolate with popular Kiwi brand Whittaker's increasing its prices

    18 October 2025
    The Porirua based company is blaming a hike in ingredient and operating costs.

    Whittaker's says increasing prices is always a last resort.

    This week Statistics New Zealand revealed the cost of food has risen 4.1percent in the year to September.
