Meridian says mother nature has come to party and helped turn their finances around

Meridian says mother nature has come to party and helped turn their finances around

    25 February 2026
The gentailer has posted a half year 227 million dollar net profit after tax - which follows a 121 million dollar loss in the previous period.

Chief Executive Mike Roan says high rain levels have helped increase hydro inflows.

He says the loss period was due to drought, and the loss of gas access.

Roan says he expects to have more years like this one, compared to last year.
