Eye-opening insights into how our property market's changed over the past 25 years

Eye-opening insights into how our property market's changed over the past 25 years

    1 March 2025
OneRoof and Valocity have found the national median sales price has more than quadrupled - while affordability's worsened.

OneRoof editor Owen Vaughan says in 2000, you could buy a Herne Bay mansion for half a million dollars - that could be worth more than 40 million now.

He says those in regional areas have seen the same lift.

Vaughan says while there's been dips, huge spikes and plunges in the market overtime - the overall trend has been growth of sometimes close to 400 percent.
