New Zealanders have starting to have slightly more cash to spend, save or invest

New Zealanders have starting to have slightly more cash to spend, save or invest

    3 April 2025
Stats NZ says household disposable income increased 1.5 percent in the December 2024 quarter - to 59.4 billion dollars.

That's the amount a household has remaining - after accounting for all income and expenses.

The lift's driven by a 6.5 percent rise in the income of self employed business owners.

House net worth - the value of all assets owned by a household minus the liabilities - showed little change.
