Hopes other nations could help make up the shortfall from the surprise US tariffs

    2 August 2025
New Zealand has been slapped with a 15-percent tariff rate, while Australia have just 10-percent.

The Meat Industry Association, estimates the sector could pay more than 150-million dollars in annual export tariffs.

Chief Executive Sirma Karapeeva , says some companies may take their business elsewhere.
