Chief Coroner Deborah Marshall has expressed her gratitude to Brandt Shortland and Gordon Matenga for their years of service.
She says Matenga has been a full-time coroner for 13 years and led the inquest into one of New Zealand's greatest tragedies - the CTV building collapse that killed 115 Cantabrians after the earthquakes.
Marshall says Shortland's also been involved with the Coroner's Court for 13 years - and was instrumental in keeping things running smoothly in the aftermath of March 15.
