Mostly cloudy, with showers about the coast and north of Napier, clearing tomorrow afternoon or evening.
Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Fine, but areas of low cloud about eastern coasts tomorrow morning and evening.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Fine today. Cloud increasing tomorrow and showers developing about Fiordland.
National Long Range Forecast to 13 April
North Island, cloud gradually increasing from the west, with showers developing towards evening and turning to widespread rain at night. Northerlies rising to gale in Taranaki and about the Cook Strait. South Island, rain spreading north in the west with some heavy falls. Cloud increasing further east with a few spots of rain. Late rain developing in Southland and Clutha.
Rain with gale westerly or southwesterly winds. Rain easing later in the day for the North Island, but turning to showers about the South Island. Snow possibly lowering to 500-600 metres Otago southwards.
North Island, cloudy periods and showers for most. South Island, showers in the south and east, and also northwest. Fine spells elsewhere. Gale southwesterlies easing.
Cloudy periods with northeasterlies picking up on Sunday. Rain developing on Monday and northeasterlies rising to gale, then changing westerly late. Strong showery westerlies on Tuesday.
