National Short Range Summary
Northland, Auckland, Coromandel and Waikato
Rain spreading south, heavy falls possible about Northland.
Waitomo to Whanganui, including Bay of Plenty, the central high county, also Gisborne and Hawke's Bay
Often cloudy, isolated showers before dawn and again in the afternoon and evening, mainly about the the central high country and ranges.
Manawatu to Wellington, and Wairarapa
Cloudy periods, especially in the east. Scattered morning rain for Manawatu and Kapiti.
All the South Island
Mainly fine, but some areas of cloud or fog morning and night, and isolated afternoon and evening showers possible inland.
Cloudy periods and a few light showers.

North Island: Mainly fine in the south, often cloudy elsewhere with a few morning showers, but occasional rain for Northland. South Island: Fine in the south and west. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
For all New Zealand: Cloud increasing, with rain about Northland, spreading to western parts of the North Island and much of the South Island later.
North Island: Scattered rain. South Island: Rain or showers for most, clearing and becoming mainly fine in the north and east.
Cloudy periods, with southwesterlies, dying out on Saturday. Cloudy with a shower or two on Sunday and northerlies developing.
