    *GALE WARNING IN FORCE*

    Thursday:
    Northwest 35 knots but westerly 20 knots south of Cape Foulwind. Becoming southwest 25 knots everywhere in the morning. Very rough sea in the north, easing. Long period southwest swell 4 metres. Poor visibility in rain north of Abut Head clearing in the morning, with showers to follow. Squally thunderstorms possible until evening.

    Friday:
    Southwest 25 knots, becoming variable 10 knots but southwest 20 knots offshore in the morning. Becoming variable 10 knots everywhere in the afternoon. Rough sea easing. Heavy westerly swell easing.

    Saturday:
    Northwest 10 knots, rising to northerly 20 knots early, then to 30 knots later. Sea becoming rough. Moderate westerly swell dying out. Moderate northerly swell developing.

    Sunday:
    Northerly 35 knots, becoming westerly 15 knots early. Very rough sea easing. Northerly swell becoming heavy.
