On Saturday a low deepens east of the North Island, directing a southerly flow across New Zealand. On Sunday and Monday, a southerly flow continues to affect New Zealand, while a ridge builds over the South Island. On Tuesday, the high cell moves over the South Island while a low is slowly approaching far offshore the North Island. Forecast for Inshore waters from Pukerua Bay to Makara Beach * Strong wind advisory in force * Friday: Northerly 20 knots gusting 30 knots, rising to 25 knots gusting 35 knots for a time this morning. Easing to northeast 10 knots this afternoon. Changing southerly 25 knots gusting 35 knots this evening. Sea becoming rough for a time this morning.
