    *GALE WARNING IN FORCE*

    Saturday : Southeast 40 knots, easing to southeast 15 knots west of Farewell Spit to Hawera in the afternoon.
    Becoming variable 10 knots but southwest 15 knots in the east in the evening.
    Very rough sea easing.
    West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Long period southwest swell 3 metres.
    Northerly swell 2 metres, easing.
    Elsewhere: Southeast swell 3 metres developing.
    Northwest swell 1 metre, dying out.
    Poor visibility in showers, easing in the afternoon.

    Outlook following 3 days:
    Sunday: Variable 10 knots, but southwest 15 knots east of Stephens Island.
    Easing to variable 10 knots everywhere in the morning.
    Moderate southwest, easing.
    Moderate southeast swell easing.
    Monday: Becoming southeast 15 knots for a time in the morning.
    Tuesday: Easterly 10 knots, becoming northeast 20 knots but 30 knots west of Farewell Spit to Hawera early.
    Sea becoming rough in the west.
