The NZ Sharemarket surged upwards today with the NZX50 up 1.30% percent (173.28 points) from previous close to end the day at 13,247. The most actively traded stock on the sharemarket, with over 4.6 million shares changing hands was Spark New Zealand Ltd , closing the day up 2% from it's opening to $2.13. The next biggest trader was Vital Healthcare Property Trust Ordinary Units ($1.95) with over 2.4 million shares being traded. Rises outweighed falls by 125 to 88, with the star of the day being WasteCo Group Ltd (, while the biggest loser was New Talisman Gold Mines Ltd (up 0%). |
